Why a RTCAT Intake Packet Is Not a Representation Decision.
A scheduled consultation, a completed questionnaire, or an administratively assembled document packet can help a firm organize its work. None should be confused with an independent decision by a service provider that the firm will represent someone.
Nexus Legal Group’s RTCAT™ framework separates administrative support from legal judgment at every stage.
For a supported outreach workflow, the record’s availability does not itself establish permission for legal contact. The proposed activity calls for source and permitted-use review, jurisdiction-specific controls, and any required disclosures or permissions.
Where an approved nonprofit education-first stage is used, participation in that stage is not treated as a request for representation. A consumer’s affirmative legal-information request, identified-firm disclosure, and appropriate contact permission precede the approved intake transition.
Depending on the selected scope, Nexus and Legal Support Cases may assist with administrative screening, scheduling, transfer coordination, document collection, and administrative completion of firm-approved engagement documents.
Those tasks help carry out an authorized process. They do not include legal advice, deciding whether a claim is meritorious, resolving conflicts, negotiating legal engagement terms, or independently determining that representation should be offered.
An operating record should distinguish a request for legal information, an authorized transfer, a consultation appointment, a completed intake, and the firm’s own representation decision.
Likewise, administrative document completion should be described as what actually occurred, without suggesting that an outside provider exercised the attorney’s acceptance authority. The legal effect of engagement documents belongs to the firm’s approved process and qualified legal review.
A useful handoff can preserve the source history, consumer request, identified firm, relevant contact permission, preferences, opt-outs, and disposition alongside the administrative materials.
The firm can then assess the matter within its own conflicts, legal-review, and engagement procedures. RTCAT™ support is designed to add operating capacity around those decisions—not replace the lawyers responsible for making them.
Discuss the administrative tasks your RTCAT™ team wants to delegate and the attorney-review boundaries your workflow needs to preserve.

This article describes a general business-services framework, not legal advice, a legal opinion, or an assurance of compliance or results. Requirements depend on jurisdiction, source terms, actual practices, contact methods, entity relationships, and compensation arrangements. Nonprofit participation is not a blanket exemption, and later consent does not replace the need for lawful earlier activity. Participating firms should obtain jurisdiction-specific advice from qualified counsel before activation.
